Of horses and humans.

For years I have worked with horses and humans.  They have one thing in common, both need love, focus, and balance.  Many times people have come along with deep seated fears they don't even know they have.  These fears are keeping them from improving and moving on.  They must discover and become aware of what the fear is and where it came from.  Then they can learn how to us it to gain knowledge and then use wisdom to overcome and move on to the next level.
Horses have come into my life with similar problems.  Fear, lack of trust and confusion can overwhelm them and lock them inside themselves.   Opening the door and sometimes a window too, will let them come out of the darkened room they live in.  To see the grin on a person's face when they finally get it or see the long lost sparkle return to a horse's eye, those are the little things I rejoice in.
We all need balance in our lives, but in order to achieve that we must first be aware of what we need to balance ourselves.

Claudia, congratulations on your new blog. I look forward to reading more about your Balanced Awareness philosophy - and the other things you know so well - from ground to saddle.
